So why is it so important to ask your team for feedback?
Well here are a few reasons why:
👌You can gauge how people are feeling
👌What’s working well
👌You’ll learn what’s not working so well
👌If you don’t ask for feedback things won’t change
👌You’ll learn how you’re performing as a leader
👌You can make changes and be more effective
So, if you want feedback you have to ask.
Think about the things that you would like to find out from your team.
Be grateful and accepting of the feedback.
Don’t ask a questions if you are not prepared for the feedback.
Take action as far as you can and act on the feedback. If for any reason you cannot change something, tell the team – and explain why.
Reciprocate – give them feedback. However, make sure it is in a constructive way and in a safe place.
